Description of key information

A study performed according to EU Method A4 reported a vapour pressure of 0.0000099 Pa at 25 ºC. It is anticipated that the vapor pressure of Orthoboric acid, potassium salt would also be exceedingly low if it could be isolated from the chemical matrix in which it is made.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
0 Pa
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

The test procedure was based on Method A4 specified in Commission Directive 92/69/EEC. Boric acid was determined to have a vapour pressure of less than 0.000000099 hPa at 25 °C, using a vapour pressure balance. It is anticipated that the vapor pressure of Orthoboric acid, potassium salt would also be exceedingly low if it could be isolated from the chemical matrix in which it is formed.
