Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- No exothermic effects with an overall energy above 500 J/g were found up to a final temperature of 500°C. Therefore the main test on explosive properties was not necessary. Based on the DSC measurements the test item has no explosive properties in the sense of the European Commission Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008, Method A.14..
- Executive summary:
The explosive properties of acylglycinate GCK-12H -T (dry matter) were investigated via thermal stability measurements. In this screening test, endothermal effects in the temperature range of 40 -60, 65 -100 and 70 -105°C were observed in two DSC measurements. No further endothermal or exothermal effects were observed up tp the final temperature of 500°C. As no exothermic effects with an overall energy above 500 J/g were found up to the final temperature of 500°C, the main test on explosive properties was not necessary. Based on the DSC measurements the test item has no explosive properties in the sense of the European Commission Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008, Method A.14..
