Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Ecotoxicological information

Long-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

Administrative data

Endpoint:
long-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates
Type of information:
experimental study planned
Justification for type of information:
TESTING PROPOSAL ON VERTEBRATE ANIMALS
Testing is not proposed for vertebrate animals, however per Article 10(a)(ix) long-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates as a test listed in Annex IX must be proposed.

NON-CONFIDENTIAL NAME OF SUBSTANCE:
- Name of the substance on which testing is proposed to be carried out : ERGP-IEM

CONSIDERATIONS THAT THE GENERAL ADAPTATION POSSIBILITIES OF ANNEX XI OF THE REACH REGULATION ARE NOT ADEQUATE TO GENERATE THE NECESSARY INFORMATION:
- Available GLP studies: None
- Available non-GLP studies: None
- Historical human/control data: None
- (Q)SAR: None

- In vitro methods : None
- Weight of evidence: Not justifiable
- Grouping and read-across: No suitable analogs
- Substance-tailored exposure driven testing: Exposure scenarios not developed at this annual volume

CONSIDERATIONS THAT THE SPECIFIC ADAPTATION POSSIBILITIES OF ANNEXES VI TO X (AND COLUMN 2 THEREOF) OF THE REACH REGULATION ARE NOT ADEQUATE TO GENERATE THE NECESSARY INFORMATION:
- Substance is poorly soluble in water. Column 2 of Annex VII states "The long-term aquatic toxicity study on Daphnia (Annex IX, section 9.1.5) shall be considered if the substance is poorly water soluble." The substance does not show acute toxicity at its limit of water solubility. Because the substance is poorly soluble and not rapidly degradable and has log Kow ≥4, the safety net classification Aquatic Chronic 4 cannot be excluded. Long term toxicity testing to aquatic invertebrates would clarify the hazard.
