Description of key information

The determination of the explosive properties of the test item was performed under GLP conditions in Compliance with the EEC Directive 92/69- Method A.14 (1992).

After safety-in-handling tests to establish safe conditions for the performance of the flame, shock and friction tests, the test substance was subjected to different conditions:

  • heat (heat sensitivity)

  • shock (mecanical sensitivity)

  • friction (mechanical sensitivity)

Under these experimental conditions No heat, friction or shock sensitivity was observed with the test substance.

Based on the experimental observations obtained the test substance is not considered to have explosive properties.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

After safety-in-handling tests to establish safe conditions for the performance of the flame, shock and friction tests, the test substance was subjected to different conditions:

  • heat (heat sensitivity)
  • shock (mecanical sensitivity)
  • friction (mechanical sensitivity)

Under these experimental conditions No heat, friction or shock sensitivity was observed with the test substance.

Henceforth the test substance was considered not to have explosive properties under our experimental conditions
