- Based on:
- test mat.
- Mortality:
- 2 rats at 2000 mg/kg bw
0 rats at 300 mg/kg bw - Clinical signs:
- observations of tremors
- Gross pathology:
- pathological lesions at 2000 mg/kg bw treatment related
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Interpretation of results:
- Category 4 based on GHS criteria
- Conclusions:
- The acute median lethal dose LD50 (cut off value) of d-allethrin in Wistar rats was found to be 1000 mg/kg bw.
- Executive summary:
Rats were dosed with the test material as single dose oral gave. The first set of 3 female rats was given a single dose of 2000 mg/kg bw and 2 rats were found dead the day of dosing. Therefore the second set of 3 female rats was administered with a single dose of 300 mg/kg bw. No mortality was observed at this dose so the third set or 3 female rats was administered with the same dose.
