Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air and keep at rest. Place in the
recovery position and seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with water for at least 10 minutes.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash immediately with large quantities of water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Give water to drink, do not induce vomiting. Seek medical
attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, dry powder or water fog.
Product arising from burning: Combustion products may contain carbon and nitrogen oxides
together with some hydrogen chloride gas and soot.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Absorb spilt material with sand, soda ash or inert
absorbent. Shovel into drums for disposal by incineration.
Do not discharge to site effluent plant or ground water.
Inform the appropriate authorities. Wear suitable protective
clothing and a self-contained breathing apparatus.
Handling and storage
Handling: The substance may cause allergic contact dermatitis. Avoid
skin and eye contact and breathing vapour. Plant and
equipment should be designed to minimise exposure and
spillage. Wear standard protective clothing (PVC gloves,
Tyvek suit, safety boots and a face visor).
Storage: The substance will be stored in 45 gallon drums lined with
polyethylene.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Not given, 6th amendment notification.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for reuse is not economically feasible.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: The substance should not be disposed of in a landfill and
should not be discharged into sewage works or waste water.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method. High temperature incineration should be
used to avoid production of any dioxin-like compounds. Waste
gas treatment to remove nitrogen oxides and hydrogen
chloride gas should be obtained.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended. The substance is not readily biodegradable
and is toxic to aquatic organisms. If necessary, consent
from the relevant statutory authority should be obtained.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will not enter the public domain.
