Description of key information
Two reliable key studies for the flash point and the boiling point are available on the registered mixture . The experimental value of flash point was determinated to be 93°C and the mixture decomposes before to reach boiling. The molecular structure of the constituents of the registered mixture does not contain groups that indicate potential reactivity with water or pyrophoric properties and handling of the substance confirm this statement. For classification purposes under the DSD and CLP, the registered mixture is not a flammable liquid.

Additional information
The flammability of liquids is determined on basis of their flashpoint in combination with their boiling point, their ability to emit flammable gases upon contact with water and their pyrophoricity.
The determination of the flash point was carried out on the registered mixture using a closed cup flash point tester, according to Method A9 Flash Point of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008 and under GLP. The flash point of the test item has been determined to be 93°C (not corrected to standard pressure). Due to an instrument failure the atmospheric pressure was not recorded, and therefore it was not possible to correct the observed flash point to standard atmospheric pressure. However, historical values recorded at Harlan laboratory showed that the resulting pair of corrected flash point values were within +/- 2°C of the observed flash point and therefore this deviation was not considered to have impaired the validity of the result.
The determination of the boiling point was carried out by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), according to the method A2 Boiling Temperature of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 and the method 103 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 27 July 1995 and compliant with GLP. The test item underwent decomposition from approximately 182 °C (455K) at 102.0 kPa and therefore it was not possible to experimentally determine the boiling temperature.
The molecular structure of the constituents of the registered mixture does not contain groups that indicate potential reactivity with water or pyrophoric properties and handling of the substance confirm this statement.
Justification for classification or non-classification
The flash point of the registered mixture has been determined to be 93°C according to the standard method A9 Flash Point of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008 and under GLP.
Due to an instrument failure the atmospheric pressure was not recorded, and therefore it was not possible to correct the observed flash point to standard atmospheric pressure. However, historical values recorded at Harlan laboratory showed that the resulting pair of corrected flash point values were within +/- 2°C of the observed flash point and therefore this deviation is not considered to impair the conclusion for classification. The molecular structure of the constituents of the registered mixture does not contain groups that indicate potential reactivity with water or pyrophoric properties and handling of the substance confirm this statement. For classification purposes under the DSD and CLP, the registered mixture is not a flammable liquid.
