Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse eyes with running water for at least 15 minutes.
Emergency measure - Skin: Flush with water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Drink 1-2 glasses of water and get medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Recommended extinguishing agents: Water spray, dry chemical
or carbon dioxide are suitable extinguishing agents.
Product arising from burning: Products arising from pyrolysis: Products of combustion may
include soot, carbon and nitrogen oxides.
Protective equipment: Protective equipment: Wear protective clothing and a
self-contained breathing apparatus when extinguishing
fires.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Sweep up substance and package for safe disposal at an
approved incinerator.
Handling and storage
Handling: Wear safety glasses or other eye protection. Where
prolonged or repeated skin contact is possible, gloves
should be worn. Use process enclosures, local exhaust
ventilation or other engineering controls to reduce dust
concentrations to acceptable levels. If engineering
controls are inadequate, use approved dust respirators.
Storage: Store away from strong oxidising materials and in a cool
place.

Special provisions / remarks
- Remarks:
- Transport: The substance is shock sensitive and can decompose above
180 deg C. Avoid temperatures above 130 deg C and strong
mechanical shock.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: Other dangers: May interact with strong oxidisers.
Chemical reaction with water: Chemical reaction with water: None reported.
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not practicable. However, spent solutions may be
replenished and reused.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended. However, if discharge to water is
necessary, the maximum concentration of substance should be
7 mg/litre.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance may be destroyed by incineration at 1000 deg
C. Waste gas treatment to remove nitrogen oxides should be
used.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The chemical will probably be destroyed by water
purification and subsequent photodegradation.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for reuse is possible.
Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: The substance will be disposed of as a part of household
waste.
