The substance hydrolyses to 2-(3,4-epoxyhexyl)ethyl silanetriol and ethanol with a half life of 29.5 h and is unstable at pH 4 and pH 9. Both hydrolysis products have a log Kow < 1 and therefore are not predicted to bioaccumulate. Therefore, in accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex IX, the bioaccumulation in aquatic systems (required in Section 9.3.2) does not need to be conducted.
