Administrative data
First-aid measures
General information:
Take persons to a safe place. Observe self-protection for first aid. In the event allergic reactions, particularly those affecting the respiratory system,
seek immediate medical advice.
After inhalation:
Keep the patient calm. If unconscious place in stable sideways position. Protect against loss of body heat. If breathing stops, administer artificial
respiration. Seek medical advice and clearly identify substance.
After contact with the skin:
Remove contaminated or soaked clothing. Wash off with plenty of water or water and soap immediately for 10-15 minutes. In serious cases,
use emergency shower immediately. Seek medical advice and clearly identify substance.
After contact with the eyes:
Rinse immediately with plenty of water for 10-15 minutes. Keep eyelids well open to rinse the whole eye surface and eyelids with water.
Seek medical advice and clearly identify substance.
After swallowing:
If conscious, give several small portions of water to drink. Do not induce vomiting. Seek medical advice and clearly identify substance.
Advice for the physician:
Product can lead to sensitisation and can trigger allergies. After inhalation: treat as early as possible using cortisone spray.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media:
water spray, extinguishing powder, alcohol-resistant foam, carbon dioxide .
Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reasons:
water jet .
Special exposure hazards arising from the substance or preparation itself, combustion products, resulting gases:
At low oxygen level: organic decomposition products.
Special protective equipment for fire fighting:
Use respiratory protection independent of recirculated air.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions:
Wear personal protection equipment (see section 8). Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Do not breathe dust. Keep unprotected persons away.
Environmental precautions:
Prevent material from entering sewers or surface waters. Observe local/state/federal regulations. Cover any spilled material in accordance
with regulations to prevent dispersal by wind. Dispose of in prescribed marked containers.
Methods for cleaning up:
Take up mechanically and dispose of according to local/state/federal regulations.
Handling and storage
Handling
Precautions for safe handling:
Avoid breathing dust/vapor/mist/gas/aerosol. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Avoid dust formation. Wash thoroughly after handling.
Precautions against fire and explosion:
Fine dust may form explosive mixture with air. Take precautionary measures against dust explosion. Keep away from sources of ignition and
do not smoke. Take precautionary measures against electrostatic charging.
Storage
Conditions for storage rooms and vessels:
Store in a cool place.
Advice for storage of incompatible materials:
Do not store together with oxidizing agents like peroxides etc.
Further information for storage:
Keep container dry and tightly closed. Protect against sun. Secure container against falling over. Do not carry out refill operations in storage rooms.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Exposure limits
-
Exposure limited and controlled
Exposure in the work place limited and controlled
General protection and hygiene measures:
Avoid exposition - provide special regulations before using. Do not eat, drink or smoke when handling. Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
Keep working clothes separately. Work areas where the substance is handled must, where possible, be separated from other areas and labelled.
Clean work areas regularly.
Personal protection equipment
Respiratory protection:
In case of dust formation: fine dust mask P2 .
Hand protection:
rubber gloves .
Eye protection:
In case of dust formation: tight fitting protective goggles .
Exposure to the environment limited and controlled:
Prevent material from entering surface waters, drains or sewers and soil.
Stability and reactivity
General information:
Possibility of spontaneous polymerization of unstabilized product by ambient temperature.
Ensure adequate stabilisation.
Conditions to avoid:
Keep away from incompatible substances.
Materials to avoid:
Radical initiators (peroxid, light, heat, heavy metal compounds) may cause polymerization.
Hazardous decomposition products:
none known.
Disposal considerations
Material
Recommendation:
Dispose of according to regulations by incineration in a special waste incinerator. Observe local/state/federal regulations.
Uncleaned packaging
Recommendation:
Completely discharge containers (no tear drops, no powder rest, scraped carefully). Containers may be recycled or re-used.
Observe local/state/federal regulations. Uncleaned packaging should be treated with the same precautions as the material.
