The substance is a pale yellow liquid at 20 °C and 1013 hPa.The melting point is <-20 °C and the boiling point is 336 °C at 99.4 kPa.The density is 0.992 at 20 °C and the vapour pressure is 0.0024 Pa at 25 °C. The surface tension is

47 mN/m at 22 °C for 90 % saturated solution. Its logPow is 1.83, at pH 7 which means that it has a slightly greater affinity for the organic phase. The substance is slightly soluble in water (12.5 mg/l at pH 4 and 20 °C. The flash point was determined as 105 °C and the auto-ignition temperature is 376 °C. The substance is not considered as explosive, oxidising nor flammable. It also does not cause any measurable corrosion to steel or aluminium, its viscosity at 25 °C

is 142cp at 25 °C and its dissociation constant is calculated at 25 °C: 3.95 .
