Description of key information

The substance is considered with high probability acutely and chronically not harmful to aquatic organisms. No aquatic toxicity was observed within the range of solubility.

Additional information

Acute and chronic tests on different trophic levels (fish, daphnia, algae, microorganisms) were performed to examine the aquatic toxicity of the test item. No toxic effects were observed in the acute tests in the solubility range. Furthermore, experimental long-term data with algae, Daphnia magna and fish are available, in which no adverse effects were observed up to the saturation concentration. Due to the low water solubility of the test item, these studies were conducted with saturated solutions prepared with solid liquid separation systems under consideration of Guidance document on aquatic toxicity testing of difficult items and mixtures, OECD series on testing and assessment number 23, December 14, 2000.
