Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One study investigating the toxicity of Bis(2-ethylhexyl) sebacate (CAS 122-62-3) to aquatic invertebrates is available. The study was conducted under static conditions according to OECD guideline 202 using Daphnia magna as test organism (Foulger & Sewell, 1994). The aqueous phase of a 1000 mg/L loading rate solution was removed for testing after stirring for 24 h. The test concentration was measured using TOC analysis; however, the analysis showed that the test substance is only poorly soluble in water. Thus, the measured concentration was not used as basis for the determination of an effect concentration.

No immobilization was observed after 48 hours exposure time. Hence, the 48 h-EC50 value is determined to be >1000 mg/L loading rate based on the nominal test concentration.
