Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In a 21 day chronic toxicity study, Daphnia magna were exposed to Cetiol CC at nominal concentrations of 0 (control) , 2 mg/L under static renewal conditions in accordance with OECD 211 guideline.
LOEC: > 2 mg/L (nominal)
NOEC: > 2 mg/L (nominal)
No significant mortality or any other additional significant adverse effects or abnormal behaviour were observed in any test treatments.
The test substance had no observable chronic effect on Daphnia magna up to its saturation limit in test media.

Additional information

A long-term toxicity of the test item to the freshwater invertebrate Daphnia magna is available , but is regarded to be invalid. The study was performed as limit test , with sever difficulties to maintain the concentration and track the substance analytically.

In a repeated 21 day chronic toxicity study, Daphnia magna were exposed to Cetiol CC at nominal concentrations of 0 (control) , 2 mg/L under static renewal conditions in accordance with OECD 211 guideline. The water pH, temperature and dissolved O2 were within acceptable guideline specifications. Mortality , reproduction and sublethal effects were observed daily.

The following averall effect concentration (mg/L) are for the most sensitive endpoint (reproduction) and were obtained based on nominal concentrations:

LOEC: > 2 mg/L (nominal)

NOEC: > 2 mg/L (nominal)

No significant mortality or any other additional significant adverse effects or abnormal behaviour were observed in any test treatments.

The test substance had no observable chronic effect on Daphnia magna up to its saturation limit in test media..
