Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Reference
Endpoint:
boiling point
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2014
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 103 (Boiling point/boiling range)
Deviations:
not specified
GLP compliance:
yes
Type of method:
dynamic method
Boiling pt.:
252.8 °C
Atm. press.:
1 013 hPa

The regression of the results leads with a mean deviation of 0.90 % to the following equation:

ln(p/hPa) = 17.3781 - 4681 .04 / (194.84 + t/°C)

The normal boiling temperature was obtained by extrapolation of the equation above.

Conclusions:
The boiling point of test substance was extrapolated to be 252.8°C
Executive summary:

In this OECD 103 guideline study, the test material (EC 239-263-3) was determined to have a boiling point of 252.8 ºC.

Description of key information

Study carried out according to guideline and with GLP compliance.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
252.8 °C

Additional information

The determination was performed by the dynamic vapor pressure measurement according to OECD guideline 103.
