Because it is classified as Repro Cat. 2 according to CLP (EC 1272/2008) criteria, cesium formate fulfils the criteria for ‘T’ defined by the REACH legislation. However, it is ready biodegradable (not ‘P’ and not ‘vP’) and has a low potential for bioaccumulation (not ‘B’ and not ‘vB’). In conclusion, cesium formate is not considered to be a PBT or a vPvB substance.
