Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Observations: Test substance changed in appearance during cooling.

The freezing temperature of test substance has been determined to be 9 ± 0.5 °C (264 ± 0.5 K).

Executive summary:

The freezing point of the test substance was determined according to OECD 102/EU A1 guideline, using BS4633 method for the determination of crystallizing point.

The determination was carried out in duplicate and the mean final temperature was retained.

The freezing temperature of test substance has been determined to be 9 ± 0.5 °C (264 ± 0.5 K).

Description of key information

The freezing point (transition from liquid to solid) was measured at 9°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
9 °C

Additional information

A fully reliable experimental study, conducted according to a recognized OECD/EC/BS method and under GLP, is available. It is considered as a key study, and the result is retained as key data.
