- The surface tension of the substances was determined using the OCED harmonized ring method. Applying a correction factor (Harkings & Jordan) to the mean value of 10 measurements, a surface tension of 62.48 mN/m was determined.

The surface tension was determined according to the guideline 92/69/ EEC method A.5. and OECD guideline 115.
According to the EEC guideline a saturated solution has been prepared and then diluted to 90 % of the saturation concentration.
