In the main test no ignition was observed up to a temperature of 152.0 °C. The test was terminated at a temperature 152 °C, since the test item already starts to decompose at a temperature of approx. 100 °C (see Thermal Stability study). Due to this result, it can be stated that the test item has no flash point up to 152.0 °C.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The test item Triethylene glycol dimethanesulfonate (CAS no. 80322-82-3) has no flash point up to a temperature of 152.0 °C according to Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 Method A.9. Flash Point and US EPA OCSPP Test Guideline OPPTS 830.6315 (1996).
According to the results of the test on the flash point, the test item is classified as follows:
UN Transport Regulation: With no flash point up to 152.0 °C, the test item has not to be classified as flammable liquid in Class 3 according to the UN Transport Regulation.
GHS (CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 Annex I: 2.6): With no flash point up to 152.0 °C, the test item has not to be classified as flammable liquid according to GHS / CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 Annex I: 2.6.
