According to a Mackay Level I model calculation, the main target compartment for dodecane-12-lactam will be the hydrosphere (88.3 %), followed by sediment (5.9 %) and soil (5.8 %). The calculated Henry’s law constant of 0.00079 Pa m3/mol indicates very low volatility from surface waters. Determination of the Koc is not required due to low accumulation potential in soil indicated by physico-chemical properties (log Kow < 3).
