Description of key information

The measured BCF values in Carp ranged from from 49 - 594. The measured BCF in rainbow trout was 196.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

BCF (aquatic species):
196 L/kg ww

Additional information

The measured BCF from the key study determined in rainbow trout was 196. The substance is therefore regarded to have low bioaccumulation potential, and does not meet the Annex XIII criteria for B or vB.

The bioconcentration of the test substance was determined in Carp (Cyprinus carpio) following the OECD 305E guideline. The measured BCF values (not lipid normalized) in Carp ranged from from 49 - 594 for exposure concentrations of 0.03 and 0.3 mg/L. No average BCF value was provided.
