Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

DMATO is a UVCB with 3 major components >10% of the total composition. Hence, a range of Log Pow values is obtained in an HPLC study i.e.1.18 to 8.35. However, the values are mostly > 6 (98.8% of the test item).
The most abundant peak in the chromatogram which is also the midpoint in terms of cumulative peak area has been used to provide a single Pow value that is required for the risk assessment.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Log Kow (Log Pow):
6.93
at the temperature of:
30 °C

Additional information

An HPLC study on DMATO yielded values greater than 6 for LogPow for 98.8% of the test item. A set of 6 theoretical calculations on the two most abundant components of DMATO, namely the dimethyl amides of oleic acid and linoleic acid all gave values of > 6 for log Pow.
