No sediment toxicity data is available for aminoethyl piperazine.

Aminoethyl piperazine is water soluble, but has the capacity to bind to sediment via cationic exchange mechanisms. Therefore, the predicted no effect concentration (PNEC) for sediment was derived from the PNEC for freshwater using the equilibrium partitioning method. An estimated Koc value of 37,000 L/kg was used in the PNECsediment calculation for aminoethyl piperazine. This Koc value was derived from a measured Koc value for diethylenetriamine based on correlation of the measured Koc value with log Kow. Using the PNECsediment value that was calculated by the equilibrium partitioning method, the risk characterization shows that the PEC/PNECsediment ratio for the aquatic environment is <1, indicating no need for further information and testing.
