Description of key information
EC50(72h) > 130 mg/L (nominal, active ingredient) for Desmodesmus subspicatus ( DIN 38412 part 9)
Key value for chemical safety assessment
Additional information
One study investigating the toxicity of the test substance to aquatic algae is available. The study was performed according to the German national standard DIN 38412 using Desmodesmus subspicatus as test organism (BASF 1989). Concentrations between 4 and 130 mg a.i./L. After an exposure time of 72h no treatment showed growth inhibition of >= 50%. Thus, the 72h-EC50 is determined to be > 130 mg a.i./L based on nominal concentrations.
