Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- The melted test item test was filled into a sample tube containing a capillary tube in such
a manner that the sealed part of the capillary was lying below the surface of the test item.
When the test item was solid again the sample tube was then set into the aluminium
block. The block was heated with a quick heating rate. Heating was performed with a gas
burner. All observations were documented.
As signs of decomposition were observed, the sponsor was contacted to discuss, if
the melting/boiling point should be determined and what the final temperature
should be if DSC is applied.
After consulting with the sponsor the DSC measurement should have been performed up
to 345 °C.
