Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
Flash point: Not determinable, no flash below 360°C
Executive summary:

The purpose of this test was to investigate the flash point of the test substance according to the guideline EEC A.9.

It was considered more appropriate to determine the flash point of the test substance than to conduct the flammability (solids) test due to its low melting point (approximately 40°C).

At 230°C the test substance began to evolve black smoke indicating decomposition. No flash however was observed at any temperature up to the maximum limit for the test (360°C).
