Executive summary:

The purpose of this series of tests was to investigate the explosive properties of the test substance as per the guidelines EEC method A.14.

The test substance was subjected to a series of tests to determine to what extent, if any, the sample could exhibit explosive properties including BAM Fall hammer test (mechanical sensitivity (shock)), BAM Friction test (mechanical sensitivity (friction)) and Koenen steel tube test (thermal sensitivity).

No sign of explosion were observed in the series of tests, hence concluded to be non-explosive.

Description of key information

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

Substance was not explosive in a test according to EU Method A.14; therefore, no classification is required according to EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
