PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

One of the screening criterions for persistence is the ready biodegradability of a substance. As Reaction products of lauric acid and oxybis(propanediol) (List No. 700-672-1) is considered readily biodegradable, it can not be expected that the substance is P or vP.

As Reaction products of lauric acid and oxybis(propanediol) does not meet the P criterion, the remaining endpoints in the PBT/vPvB screening step (bioaccumulation (B) and toxicity (T)) do not have to be further evaluated. It can be concluded that Reaction products of lauric acid and oxybis(propanediol) can not be expected to be PBT or vPvB based on the screening criteria.

The PBT/vPvB status of the target substance and the source substances is identical, as the target substance as well as the source substances do not fulfil the PBT/vPvB criteria.
