Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The potential for bioaccumulation of N-(2-ethoxyphenyl)-N'-(2-ethylphenyl)ethanediamide has been investigated through two different bioconcentration in fish (BCF) QSAR models such us the BCF model (CAESAR) (version 2.1.13) and the USEPA BCFBAF model (version 3.0).

Both recognized models confirm that the BCF of the test item is well below the threshold limit of 2000 L/Kg.

The value calculated with USEPA BCFBAF model (version 3.0) has been taken as key value for chemical assessment since the result got with

the BCF model (CAESAR) (version 2.1.13) evidenced some critical aspects so that the substance seems to be out of the applicability.

Considering mitigating factors like water solubility and molecular size, there is low potential for bioaccumulation. In addition, due to the low water solubility exposure of aquatic organisms to significant amounts is unlikely. Therefore, unacceptable risks due to possible bioaccumulation are not expected.
