Administrative data
First-aid measures
Inhalation : Remove victim to fresh air. Keep victim warm and at rest. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. Obtain medical attention.
Skin contact : Remove affected clothing and wash all exposed skin area with soap and water, followed by warm water rinse. Consult a doctor in the event of any complaints.
Eye contact : Wash off with plenty of water If pain persists, consult an eye specialist.
Ingestion : Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Do not induce vomiting. Wash out mouth with plenty of water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Consult a doctor
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media :
For small fire : foam , dry chemical , carbon dioxide .
For large fire: foam , water spray , water fog .
Specific hazards : Thermal decomposition may generate : carbon dioxide , carbon monoxide , nitrogen oxides , hydrogen chloride , sulfur oxide , CSCl2. Protection against fire : Wear suitable protective clothing. Use self-contained breathing apparatus when in close proximity to fire.
Special procedures : Fight fires from a protected location . Dike fire control water for later disposal.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
For emergency responders : Use appropriate protection.
Environmental precautions : Dispose of this material and its container at hazardous or special waste collection point. If the product has contaminated surface water, inform the appropriate authorities.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Clean up methods : Collect spilled material with shovel, place into a clean container and cover container loosely .
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling
Handling :
Dust explosion hazards: Fine powder of Merpan suspended in air within a confined space may create a dust explosion hazard .Do not breathe dust. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid vigorous shaking of the bag when emptying the content.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Packing : Woven polypropylene big bags. Low density polyethylene open mouth bags. Low density polyethylene valve bags.
Storage : Keep locked up . Keep container tightly closed. Keep only in the original container in a cool, well ventilated place. Keep container dry .
Specific end use(s): Not available
