- Acetone (10 µl, open application) was not irritating to rabbit skin after 24 hours of uncovered application.
- Executive summary:
10 µl of acetone were applied uncovered on the clipped skin of the bellies of 5 rabbits. Skin reaction was scored after 24 hours in a 10 grade ordinal series and was based upon the severest reaction observed. Grade 1 out of 10 indicated absence of skin irritation.
