Based on the results of a Human Patch Test (Maximization Test), the test item is not considered to be a skin sensitizer.

Maximisation Test
A Maximization Test was conducted with the test material in petrolatum on 25 healthy, male volunteers (1973). Application was under occlusion to the same site on the forearms of all subjects for five alternate-day 48-hour periods. The patch test sites were pretreated for 24 hours with 5% aqueous sodium lauryl sulfate under occlusion. Following a ten-day rest period, challenge patches were applied to fresh sites for 48 hours under occlusion. The challenge sites were pretreated for 1 hour with 10% aqueous sodium lauryl sulfate under occlusion. Reactions to the challenge were read at patch removal and 24 hours after patch removal. At a dose level of 6% no signs of skin sensitisation were observeable.
