Description of key information
A flammability study performed under GLP according to UN Test Method No.1 the test substance did not propagate combustion.
In a GLP study on the self-heating properties performed according toUN Test Method N.4 the test substance showed no significant signs of exothermic activity when tested in a 100 mm wire mesh container at 140 °C.
The substance is known to be stable in contact with air at room temperature for prolonged periods of time and is soluble in water to form a stable mixture. Therefore, no studies are required with respect to the 'Pyrophoric solids' and 'Substance/ mixtures which in contact with water emits flammable gases' endpoints, respectively.

Justification for classification or non-classification
Based on the available information, the test substance is not classified as flammable solid, self heating substance, pyrophoric solid or substance which in contact with water emits flammable gases in accordance with EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation No. (EC) 1272/2008.
