*) This mortality rate is not regarded to be statistically different from the control as, according to OECD 211, a mortality rate lower than 20% (in the control vessels) does not invalidate the test results.

Validity criteria fulfilled:
yes
Conclusions:
The values of 21d-NOEC (reproduction and mortality) were determined to be above 0.0141 mg/L based on the mean measured concentrations.
Executive summary:

The study on the biological effect of the test item on the reproduction of parthenogenetic Daphnia magna STRAUS was conducted according to OECD 211 and GLP. The test was carried out under semi-static conditions using 4 concentrations. The test concentrations were 0 (control) - 0.0007 - 0.0023 - 0.007 - 0.023 mg/L. The concentrations were measured via GC-method in the new and old media. The test concentration were not remained within +/-20% of the nominal concentrations. Therefore, the biological effects were expressed on the basis of the mean measured concentrations. The values of 21d-NOEC (reproduction and mortality) were determined to be above 0.0141 mg/L.

Description of key information

A study on the biological effect of the test item on the reproduction of parthenogenetic Daphnia magna STRAUS is available. The test was conducted according to OECD 211 and GLP under semi-static conditions. Four test concentrations and a control were tested. They were 0 (control) - 0.0007 - 0.0023 - 0.007 - 0.023 mg/L with a sparation factor of 3.3.
