Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
non flammable
Remarks:
Migrated information
Conclusions:
The test item is not a highly flammable solid in the sense of the European Commission Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008, Method A.10.
The test item does not have to be classified as a “flammable solid”, class 4.1, in the sense of the UN Transport Regulations.
The test item does not have to be classified as a “flammable solid” in the sense of Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 (CLP Regulation).
The test item exhibits a burning number of BZ 2 according to VDI 2263, sheet 1.
Executive summary:

The test item showed no reaction when a flame was applied as ignition source at ambient temperature. The product melted.

The test item showed a brief ignition when a hot wire was applied as ignition source at ambient temperature. After removing the hot wire the flame extinguished rapidly. The product melted.

Due to the fact that the pile showed no propagation of the combustion, the main test was not necessary.

The combustion behaviour of the product at ambient temperature is characterized by the combustion number BZ 2 (brief ignition and rapid extinction).
