Only one study is available assessing the sensitising properties of RSS-4, dry substance. It concerns a Magnusson and Kligman Maximisation Test on guinea-pigs. This study (rated K1) is performed in 1996 according to internationally accepted methods and in compliance with the criteria of GLP.

In this study, RSS 4 dry substance did not produce evidence of skin sensitisation (delayed contact hypersensitivity) in any of the nine surviving test animals.
