Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
supporting study
Study period:
1999-09-14 to 1999-09-15
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
yes
Remarks:
but with Molybdenum analyses performed in a non-GLP compliant facility
Type of method:
column elution method
Key result
Water solubility:
< 0.31 mg/L
Temp.:
19.72 °C
pH:
ca. 5.2 - ca. 5.7
Remarks on result:
other: pH of samples at end of each 'run': 5.2 and 5.7
Details on results:
The Mo content of all fractions eluted from the 1st run and 7 out of 8 fractions eluted from the 2nd run was < 0.0250 ppm or <0.31 mg test material/l.
The Mo content of the first fraction from the 2nd run was 0.0636 ppm (0.777 mg test material/l); this value was not used in the calculation of the solubility of MRD-99-422.
Conclusions:
Interpretation of results (migrated information): slightly soluble (0.1-100 mg/L) Below practical limit of quantitation (PQL)
In a GLP study conducted according to OECD guideline 105, the water solubility of MRD-99-422 (EC# 434-650-5) was less than 0.31 mg/l at 20oC.
Executive summary:

In a GLP study conducted according to OECD guideline 105, the water solubility of MRD-99-422 (EC# 434-650-5) was determined by micro-column elution from Chromosorb WHP carrier at approximately 20oC. Samples eluted from the column were analysed for Mo content by ICP-AES, and the concentration of test material determined after normalisation for dilution factor and Mo content (9.17%) of MRD-99-422.

The water solubility of MRD-99-422 was less than the practical quantitation limit (PQL) of the assay of 0.31 mg/l at 20oC.

In view of the structural and chemical similarities, it is considered that the results of this study can be used for read-across to EC# 457-320-2.

Endpoint:
water solubility

read-across source
Key result
Water solubility:
< 0.31 mg/L
Conc. based on:

GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:

Key result
Water solubility:
< 0.31 mg/L
Conc. based on:
