Description of key information
As the test substance is an inorganic oxide, it can be deduced from its structure that it has no surface activity. Furthermore in accordance with column 2 of REACH annex VII, the surface tension does not need to be determined if the water solubility is inferior to 1 mg/L; the water solubility of lanthanum oxide was determined to be 0.0696 mg/L (RCC study A17807, 2007). In addition based on the structure no surface activity is to be expected.
