Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The toxicity towards freshwater algae was determined in a study where exponentially growing freshwater alga (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata) were exposed to nominal test substance concentrations of 0 (control), 10, 14, 19, 25, 35, 45, 60, 85, 120, 160, 220 and 300 mg/L under static conditions for 96 hours. The test was performed in only one replicate per test concentration. Test concentrations were not analytically verified. After 48 and 96 hours exposure duration, the algae were scored for number of cells. A concentration-dependent inhibition of growth rate was observed, from which a 96-h EC50 value was determined at 35 mg/L. From the data no chronic effect value was determined.
